Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes Summer Edition

Hi beauties, today’s blog post needs no introduction it’s all about the biggest beauty launch of the summer. Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes Summer Edition!!!!! And breath…

So as soon as my Cult Beauty wish list email can through yesterday, I couldn’t order this collection fast enough. I was literally on the M1 motorway on the way to London and I stopped at the service station to place my order, and of course picked up a cheeky Starbucks cappuccino.

For anyone looking to buy these liquid mattes, listen up because here’s my first thoughts on 3 of the limited edition colours.

Mamacita

OK so first up is Mamacita, I mean what a name absolutely love it. This colour is STUNNING like seriously gorgeous. The liquid matte glides on just like the rest of Huda Beauties lip collection and dries matte. This colour is super pigmented and really gives off a sexy latino vibe. I think this colour would suit all skin tones and really adds a wow factor when applied. This ones definitely my favourite.

Bikini Babe

Next up is Bikini Babe, so this colours an interesting one because when I swached it on my arm I loved it. But when I applied it on my lips I didn’t fall in love like I did with Mamacita. I felt like this colour didn’t really suit my skin tone and made me look slightly washed out. And because it’s a super nude colour I felt like it wasn’t as pigmented. Personally I would always favour Trendsetter over Bikini Babe for the perfect nude.

JetSetter

And finally Jetsetter, I have to admit I really liked this colour. It’s like a gorgeous dusky rose that’s perfect for day to day wear during the summer. I think this colour would suit most skin tones and add a gorgeous subtle pop of colour to your lips.

Overall

I didn’t buy Wild Child because I though it was very similar to Mamacita, and out of all 3 colours Mamacita is actually my favourite. Personally I don’t think that Bikini Babe is the perfect nude, I ‘d always go for Trendsetter because it’s got more of a brown undertone. So if any of you girls are a similar skin tone as me, my two favourites and ones that I think are worth buying are; Mamacita and Jetsetter.

The Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Summer Edition is available to buy at Cult Beauty and priced at £18 each.
