YSL BEAUTY HAUL

Hi girls so on Tuesday, I popped into the YSL counter at Debenhams to get a sample of the Touche Éclat Foundation. And 45 minutes later I walked out with a YSL beauty box with 3 full size products! Hence my YSL beauty haul post LOL. No but seriously how did that happen? I guess I’m a sucker for pretty packaging. AND the fact that I’ve heard such good reviews about YSL beauty products that I had to check them out for myself.

So if you want to know whats inside this YSL beauty box and if it’s worth buying…carry on reading.

Touche Éclat Foundation – £33.50

The first product I bought was the YSL Touche Éclat Radiance Awakening Foundation. My current go-to foundation is MAC Studio Fix in NC40 which I love, but I wanted to try something new and fresh. And after reading amazing reviews on the YSL Touche Éclat Foundation I decided to give it a go. So this foundation comes in 22 shades, and I’m in shade warm amber BD60 which has a tan neutral to golden undertone. Sounds about right.

Application

The bottle has a built in pump which I love, and you only need the tiniest amount to get medium coverage. The texture is velvety with a satin finish and blends really well. What I love about the application is that you can build it up to get a fuller coverage but even then it doesn’t look caked on. The liquid just blends seamlessly into the skin, and gives a warm glow. So far so good.

Wear

Once applied the foundation really does give a flawless coverage. In terms of wear I had it on for around 5 to 6 hours and it still looked pretty decent and glowing.

Touche Éclat Foundation Y-brush – £33.50

Up next in my YSL beauty haul is this Touche Éclat Foundation Y-brush. This is supposed to be the perfect partner for the Touche Éclat Foundation. The brush is absolutely stunning and the flat head really helps to smooth and blend the foundation. But in my opinion it’s exactly the same as other flat top foundation brushes that I’ve used that are literally half the price. As much as I love the look and feel of this brush I don’t think you need it to compliment the application of the Touche Éclat Foundation. There’s definitely more cost effective brushes out there that do the same thing.

Touche Éclat Glow Shot – £22.50

The final product in my YSL beauty haul is this Touche Éclat Glow Shot. So this comes in 3 shades and my shade is sunset, which is for medium to dark skin tones to create a healthy glow. I love this glow shot, I mixed it in with my foundation and then applied some to my cheeks, temple and underneath my brows for a pop of colour. The texture is really silky so it blends in beautifully and adds a beautiful glow to skin.

Overall views

OK, so if you are someone that likes a natural, flawless coverage with your foundation then the Touche Éclat foundation is for you. What’s brilliant is that you can build it up so it’s very workable. It blends beautifully and works really well with the Touche Éclat glow shot. What I love most is that both the foundation and glow shot can be worn alone or mixed together to achieve a beautiful glow.

In terms of the foundation brush, there’s definitely ones that you can pick up that do the same thing and costs less – so save your money. I would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on my YSL beauty haul. Comment below to get involved.
